How do I start the remodeling process with Kitchen Encounters?

It all begins with a free, no-obligation consultation! You can call us at 717-509-4679, email us at [email protected] or fill out our online contact form to schedule an appointment. We’ll discuss your vision, needs, and budget.

What should I prepare for our initial consultation?

While nothing is strictly required, it’s helpful if you have:

  • An idea of your budget range.
  • Photos or Houzz/Pinterest boards of kitchens/baths you like.
  • A list of what you currently dislike about your space.
  • Any specific functional needs (e.g., more storage, better lighting, accessibility features).
Do you offer design services?

Absolutely! Our experienced design team will work closely with you to create a functional, beautiful, and personalized plan that reflects your style and meets your needs. We use 3D renderings so you can visualize your new space before any work begins.

How long does a typical kitchen/bathroom remodel take?

The timeline varies greatly depending on the scope and complexity of the project. A bathroom remodel might take 4-7 weeks, while a full kitchen renovation could range from 6-9 weeks. We’ll provide a detailed timeline during the planning phase, and our project manager will keep you updated every step of the way.

What is your project management process like?

We pride ourselves on clear communication and efficient project management. You’ll have a dedicated customer service representative and a project manager, providing daily updates, coordinating all trades, and ensuring the project stays on schedule and budget. Our communication is unmatched!

Budget & Costs

How much does a kitchen/bathroom remodel cost?

This is the most common question, and the answer truly depends on many factors: the size of the space, the quality of materials selected (e.g., laminate vs. quartz countertops, stock vs. custom cabinets), structural changes, and the complexity of the design. We provide detailed, transparent quotes after our design consultation.

Do you offer financing options?

No, we do not offer in-house financing at this time, but we can provide recommendations for financing partners.

Is the initial consultation free?

Yes, our initial consultation is always complimentary and comes with no obligation. It’s a chance for us to understand your vision and for you to learn more about our process. As importantly, we can provide preliminary design ideas and layout options for you to consider.

Materials & Choices

Do you have a showroom where I can see materials?

Yes! We invite you to visit our state-of-the-art showroom located at 1410 Oregon Pike Lancaster, PA. Here you can explore a wide selection of cabinets, countertops, flooring, tiles, fixtures, and more to inspire your design.

Can I supply my own materials?

While we prefer to source materials through our trusted suppliers to ensure quality, warranty, and timely delivery, we are happy to discuss incorporating specific items you may have already purchased. This will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis during the design phase.

What brands of cabinets and countertops do you work with?

We partner with a variety of high-quality, reputable brands to offer a wide range of styles and price points. In cabinetry we represent Waypoint, Brighton and US Cabinet Depot. In countertops, we sell Cambria Quartz, Grothouse Custom Wood, as well as Laminate and Granite. Our designers will guide you through the best options for your project.

During the Remodel

Will I have access to my kitchen/bathroom during the remodel?

Yes, although for safety and efficiency, access to the active construction area will be limited. We’ll discuss a plan with you during the consultation, which might involve setting up a temporary kitchenette or bathroom, depending on the scope of work.

How do you protect my home during construction?

We take great care to minimize disruption and protect your home. This includes using floor protection, dust barriers, and thorough cleanup at the end of each workday.

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely. Kitchen Encounters is fully licensed and insured in Pennsylvania. We are happy to provide proof of insurance and licensing upon request.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. We offer a one-year warranty on all labor, in addition to many lifetime manufacturer warranties on products.
